The Beck Isle Museum is quite small but has a vast array of items spanning many rooms. Some of the collections are themed rooms, like a pub or a barbers shop, all cleverly laid out. As we were visiting the area the museum provided a lot of information about local history that we found very interesting. Well worth a visit!
Good place. Lots of exhibits, much bigger than we thought and very informative about the local area. The guy on the desk, Keith, was so friendly and full of suggestions on where to visit. A good couple hours or so spent at a very reasonable price and the kids also enjoyed it.
Lots of interesting exhibits, and it's much bigger that you might expect. I like the way some of the rooms have been laid out as shops and a pub.Worth a visit if you are in Pickering, and you can even come back again for free with 12 months.
