Just had a great time at Vale View. We were there for the war weekend. The views from camp site were lovely. The owners of the site were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going again.
Very pleasant and quite site within easy reach of Pickering. Very dog friendly with a good dog walk around a stubble field, hopefully somewhere else to walk if a crop is growing there. The owner is very friendly and easy going which helped to nice relaxing stay. Facilities are limited to very clean toilets but no showers, chemical toilet disposal and fresh water on site. Will definitely return.
If you're after a no-frills camping weekend this is it. I say "weekend" as, in a tent, it'd be difficult to stay longer as there aren't yet showers or hot water or a freezer to keep ice packs chilled. But the price reflects this and for a great camping experience this place is ideal. A short walk, 20-30 minutes into Pickering, and well placed to explore other areas.
