Great Sunday dinner and friendly staff Angus beef Yorkshire pudding and veg will be going again
Visited today on spec whilst out for a ride on our tandem and fancied a Sunday lunch. They were pretty booked up but managed to accommodate us. We both had a 2 course lunch 1 beef and 1 lamb and both were delicious served with a good selection of fresh veg. Lovely and hot. We both had a dessert which were equally lovely ,whilst watching the pouring rain outside. Sadly it was still pouring when the time came to leave but it just made us pedal faster on the return journey. The standard lunchtime menu looks good value as well especially if it is as good as our Sunday lunch was. The staff were all friendly and attentive. I think we will be paying further visits here. Good place to take the kids on a sunny day. The miniature railway is great for adults and children. There is cafe and a few side stalls selling vegetables etc.
Visited here on annual trip to the area to stock freezer up. The quality of the meat is top class. All cooks better than anything you get from a supermarket! It might cost a bit more but we'll worth it. The staff are friendly and helpful. Didn't go in the cafe this time so I can't comment on that.
