If you are in the area then a trip on the steam train, with a light lunch at one of the stop off points along the way is highly recommended. There are plenty of very nice eats available in Grosmont. Be sure to check the time table so you don't miss the last train!
Love it here. Some great old diesels and of course some lovely old steam engines. I was surprised how big it is and how many carriages there are at Pickering Station. Lots to see, old crane cars included. If you like trains then youll love it here too
A Fantastic Station with very friendly and helpful Staff. The Shop has a fantastic range of items to choose from and the Cafe is really well cleaned.
If you love steam trains, this is the place to go. Superb bit of English heritage. Cant wait to ride it in August.
Can't wait to take the steam train to Whitby! The charm of the station alone was enough to draw us in. Pickering itself is great. Particularly enjoyed frequenting the antique stores.
