Wanted a movie with popcorn and a soda. Got there all set to watch Vice. Was informed that Vice was only playing on the "VIP". $26 instead of $12. Well, I was there already and they had me. The path to the auditorium led through the restaurant conveniently to suck a few more bucks. Had a burger and a beer. $25. An evening that was budgeted for about $25 ended up costing well over $50. Great place if you want to spend a bunch on a movie experience.
Love the new theatre. Reclining chairs are relaxing, lots of foot space and then some. New and clean. The old theatre was always cold, this new one has just the right room temperature. Great place to check out on a date or with family.
We went to the Adults only VIP, i must say this has changed the whole cineplex experience. To start, the lounge is beautiful, full bar (we don't drink), lounge chairs, pool table, private concession stand. The theater itself is very very spacious with reclined and even heated seats, a full tray table that is adjustable, and you can have food served right to your seat from waiters (only until the movie starts). Cineplex has done it up and made this experience worth the high price, a movie date is no longer a cheap movie date, welcome to high end movie watching. Now regular cinemas wont cut it with the kids......
I really like the new pickering theater.I went alone and with my kids. Depending on the movie, you might not get a seat last minute so a tip is to buy your tickets online a few hours prior to the viewing. When I went alone, I experienced the VIP . Loved it . I ordered nachos and calamari. I liked my food. They give good size portions. I had too much food and took the calamari home in a take home box.Will be back for sure
Great food, great service. Its close to home. Love the chairs they recline which is so cool. Number 1 recommendation please please do leafs game I will pay to watch a leafs game. Maybe for the first game make it free but you have to pay for food and drinks?Or send an email out for people to register a seat that way you know how many people are coming and to see if its worth it.
